I just can’t believe how fast this year is running! Amazing! This is week FOURTEEN of EmilyFalconBridge’s DECK OF ME Art Journal challenge. This week’s prompt was BIRDS. I thought about using Patterned paper with a bird on it, or drawing one, but then I decided to take a picture of the wool that my friend TRACY sent to me. Tracy owns sheep. She makes all sorts of yummy lotions and potions with her sheep’s milk and wool. She sent me a “gallon” of unspun wool that had been dyed so that I can put it out for the birds to use as nesting material. Because it’s dyed, my hope is that we will be able to spot a nest or two with our colorful contribution in it’s nest! So I did my card with a picture I took of the wool. It’s so pretty just to look at! Then on the back, I cut a bird out of my Basic Grey Japanese Tea Garden paper, and put it on Jack’s shoulder. It’s a little hard to see, but I wrote Jack *hearts* and put white dots around the bird with my white Uniball Signo pen. Got the chance to use my new Tinkering Ink chalk set too! It’s shimmery! Love it.
